“Filmed along some of the most famous Canadian canoe routes as well as parts still mostly undiscovered, this film tells the story of a solo canoeist named David exploring a route he has never done. David faces the challenges and choices of a river unknown to him, and the film shows the journey from David's own perspective. Through narration, the film follows David as he paddles, portages, and camps in some of the most beautiful and rugged wilderness destinations of northern Ontario. During his adventure, he contemplates matters of his own life, as solo canoeists often do while escaping to their own utopia.
