The route-planner app komoot has had some recent updates lately that have added full support for Apple Watch including offline mapping.

Turn-by-turn navigation: View upcoming directions and on-route arrows directly on your watch
Real-time statistics: See your key metrics in real time during navigation, including distance traveled, distance to destination, current elevation, and more
Elevation profile: View elevation data for the entire route
Sport-specific recording: Capture your activity as a hike, run, or ride with a post-activity recap including key statistics and a route map
A powerful map on your wrist
Detailed maps: View trails, paths, and street details in high resolution
Map interaction: Zoom and pan across the map to explore the surroundings
Sport-specific maps (Premium only): Select your activity to see sport-specific details such as hiking trails, official cycle paths, and mountain bike trails
Additional sync capabilities and Apple-exclusive features
Offline route storage: Download saved routes directly to the watch for offline use
Apple Health integration: Automatically sync your activity data (duration, distance, and sport) to Apple Health and update your Fitness Rings
Water Lock: Keep precipitation from tapping on your screen with Apple Watch Water Lock
Yesterday’s 2026.8.0 update also adds live tracking so you can share your location with friends and family while recording an activity.
