Alberta Parks Makes Changes To Camping Reservation System For 2022

Each year Alberta Parks opens up their camping reservation system on a particular date (last year it was March 4th) staggered by zone throughout a single day. For 2022 Alberta Parks has made some significant changes to the way the reservation system opens for the season.,

Starting January 11th you will now be able to reserve campsites 90 easy in advance with the booking window advancing each day at 9 a.m. This should help provide fair and equal access to both online and call centre users.

This means no more stressful launch dates and better access to campsites for all Albertans.

The maximum bookable consecutive nights in one reservation is now 10, down from 16. The maximum allowable stay remains at 16 consecutive nights but if you wish to stay 10 or more nights, you will need two separate reservations. This change was implemented to help reduce booking changes, overbooking and no-shows.

More information will come in January as we near the opening date. Learn more on Alberta Park’s website.
