One of the easiest snacks to make is Apple Leather. First, line your dehydrator trays with parchment paper. Then mix 1/2 a teaspoon of ground cinnamon with 2 cups of unsweetened applesauce (the sugar in sweetened applesauce interferes with drying) and pour evenly onto your trays. Dry at 130ºF (55ºC) for six to eight hours.
You should be able to find no evidence of moisture, but the leather should still be flexible. We cut into sections, then cover with saran wrap for storage (although it is so tasty, that it isn't stored for long).
