After the announcement of Peterborough's new Mountain Bike destination, Harold Town Conservation (2611 Old Norwood Road), a trail build day took place on Saturday to forge new singletrack.

Trail markers are in place and this is the start of the new trail, branching off the main trail across the spine of the hill.

Harold Town has many different kinds of vegetation which makes for an interesting ride.

The new trail will take you through a boreal forest, then into grassy hills, then denser forest.

The "Many hands make light work" saying sure worked with numerous volunteers lending a hand throughout the day. There is still a fair bit of work to do, so stay tuned to the Harold Town Conservation Facebook page to lend a hand.
