Cooler weather and the chance of rain didn't stop people heading down to Millennium Park in Peterborough for Bikefest 2012. Local shops Wild Rock and B!ke: The Community Cycling Hub were there to help give free tune ups for bicycles.

Free swag and information about safer cycling were abundant as well as lots of chat about future plans that the City of Peterborough hopes to implement to make for a more cycling-friendly city.

The Peterborough Cycling Club started up their weekly No-drop/Rec Ride this week and will add regular Mountain Bike rides next week.

Community friendliness was abound with plenty of chat about new and old bicycles and there was even a fundraiser for a local's bicycle which was stolen this morning.
