MacGregor Adds 17 Beginner Friendly Backcountry Walk-In Campsites

MacGregor Provincial Park has added 17 walk-in campsites which can be anywhere from 1.2 to 2.0 km to hike in to. You could consider them as beginner backcountry, but just take note that there is only a water tap at the beginning of the loop (with no nearby lake water source) so be sure to bring in what you need. Sites look to go live Friday, June 26th, 2026 on the reservation system and include a picnic table, a food locker and a thunderbox.
