Lake Of Two Rivers & Opeongo Offices Permanently Closed At Algonquin Park

In a notice that was posted at an odd time (April 1st), Ontario Parks announced that the offices at both the Lake of Two Rivers, and Opeongo (Access Point 11) are now permanently closed. Visitors to the Lake of Two Rivers campground are directed to Mew Lake, and instead of stopping in at Opeongo, head to the East or West Gates, or call the information line at 705-633-5572.

No April Fools joke here… the Opeongo office will be missed but don’t forget to print your own copy of your permit to bring with you into the backcountry.
