Reservations Open For 2026 Backcountry Camping Season At Yukon Parks
Yukon Parks has announced that camping reservations for their sole backcountry park, Tombstone Territorial Park are now open. Reservations can be booked for dates running from July 1 to September 7, 2026.
“We know predictability and fairness matter when planning camping trips and summer adventures. Users of the reservation service have shared positive experiences and site saving violations have been reduced at campgrounds with reservable sites. We are pleased to add two additional campgrounds to our frontcountry reservation roster this year. Our government continues to assess how the service is working in the Yukon and will adjust it as needed to provide the best camping experiences possible for Yukoners and visitors from outside the territory.”
Frontcountry campers will be able to reserve campsites starting April 8, 2026. As in past years, campsites will be reservable at Wolf Creek, Marsh Lake, Pine Lake and Tombstone Mountain. This year, sites will also be reservable at Kusawa Lake and Fox Lake. Reservations can be made for dates running from May 8 to October 1, 2026.
With many popular campsites in high demand, campers are encouraged to make their reservations early. Bookings for backcountry and frontcountry campgrounds can be made online at yukon.goingtocamp.com or via the toll-free call centre at 1-888-352-0532 (or 1-867-322-0222 if calling from outside Canada). The call centre operates seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Yukon Standard Time from March 4 until the end of the camping season.
