Kawartha Highlands Is Switching To A Flat Rate Fee For 2027

Beginning May 1st, 2027 Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park (also known as Kawartha Highlands Signature Site) is changing the backcountry fee model to a flat-per-campsite fee model. This is similar to how the reservation fees for Temagami and The Massassauga Provincial Parks changed in 2021.

For bookings with an arrival date of May 1, 2027 or later, the flat-per-campsite fee will be charged -no matter the number of people (not exceeding the campsite maximum occupancy of 9)…

  • Regular - $40.75

  • Ontario Senior - $32.60

  • Youth Groups - $20.38

  • Ontario Persons with Disabilities - $20.38

The structure is always frustrating for solo campers who would ordinarily pay $11 for a reservation, but more cost effective for group campers such as Scouts or youth summer paddling camps.
