Algonquin Backcountry Camping Closed Until May 2022

Due to unpredictable ice out timing on lakes and rivers and normal spring conditions, backcountry camping is closed from April 1 to May 12. However, if conditions allow, we will open backcountry camping reservations up before May 13.

Until backcountry camping is open you cannot make backcountry reservations and there are no first-come, first-served campsites. This applies to both backpacking and paddling.
