Doctors In B.C., Ontario, Saskatchewan & Manitoba Can Prescribe Parks Canada Passes

If you live in British Columbia, Ontario, Saskatchewan or Manitoba chat with your doctor (or licensed health-care professional) as they can now prescribe you a free pass to visit your local Parks Canada location (which normally costs around $72 for an adult pass).

PaRx (an initiative of the BC Parks Foundation) started an evidence-based nature prescription program back in 2020 as a means to help people manage stress and anxiety. The goal is to get people to spend two hours a week, 20+ minutes at a time to achieve significantly better health and wellbeing. Learn more about the health benefits of nature here.

There are plans to expand the program across Canada to every province and territory.
