An open letter from Mountain Equipment Co-Op’s CEO Phil Arrata shares what the co-op has been doing for the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Amongst many things, MEC has donated headbands, duffle bags for midwives, and Nuun hydration tablets for frontline workers.

MEC will also be manufacturing 10,000 sustainably made and Fair Trade  Certified, non-surgical washable masks. There will be two sizes (adults and kids) and will be available for purchase online early June. All profits from each mask sold will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross.

These masks will also be distributed, at no charge, to all staff at MEC stores (which will be opening soon).

Stay connected with MEC by following them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
