Wabakimi Provincial Park Maintenance Update

Wabakimi Provincial Park is one of the more remote backcountry destinations in Ontario. Their Facebook page today provided an update as to some maintenance that was done that is definitely good news…

“Wabakimi’s canoe rangers have safely returned from their recent canoe trip. The 150km route starting from Allanwater Bridge, through the Flindt River, and exiting at Little Caribou Lake has now been cleaned and cleared! Our rangers report beautiful regrowth scenery, easily runnable white-water segments for adventurous paddlers, short-but-sweet portages, and of course a few mosquitoes.🦟 This route would be excellent for families. Please continue to support their efforts and always pack out what you pack in 🛶🎒”
