The UCO SweetFire Is A New, Green Way To Light A Fire

UCO (We love their Stormproof matches), recently announced the SweetFire fire starter. Made from a sugarcane by-product called Bagasse, this material produces fewer greenhouse gas emissions when burned than matches. Bagasse is actually a biofuel that is a fibrous waste product created during the process of extracting sugar from sugarcane. UCO added a proprietary mix of vegetable-based wax to the Bagasse to create a long-lasting fire starter that will burn for over 7 minutes! A box of 20 will retail for $5.99 U.S.

We wanted to continue UCO’s tradition of innovative fire starting while avoiding the chemicals found in so many current products. We manufacture and sell products all over the globe and want to have a positive impact on the world in general. This product lets us do that by giving campers and survivalists a cleaner option for lighting their fires.
