The Haliburton Highlands Dogsled Derby is on January 21st and 22nd at the Pinestone Resort & Conference Centre (4252 County Rd. #21, Haliburton). Part of the OFSS Triple Crown Race series, there are teams going out at two minute intervals, so there is always something exiting to see. They expect around seventy teams from Ontario, Quebec and the northern United States. The races are free for spectators to attend and more information can be found on their website.
