2015 BC Parks Camping Fees Raising March 15th

BC Parks are raising campsite fees from a range of $2 per night to a maximum of $5 per night (You can download a .pdf of all the park fees for 2015). The increase is expected to generate $1.3 million this year for B.C.’s protected areas system (one of the largest protected areas systems in the world) and in turn the money will be spent to further maintain and enhance the parks system.

Last year, BC Parks spent about $13 million on maintenance, construction and improvement to park facilities.Tow Hill Ecological Reserve, located in Naikoon Provincial Park, a new and accessible boardwalk trail and viewing platform have recently been completed. “British Columbia’s world-renowned parks provide superb recreational opportunities for visitors from throughout the province and around the world. From diverse terrain to temperate climate, our parks are truly a unique treasure. By increasing user fees in campgrounds, campers who use the parks system are helping to keep it sustainable for future generations to enjoy.” - Mary Polak, Minister of Environment
